The MATTHEW HAWKINS & T.R.U. CONNECTION PRAISE CD is now available!

TRU Connection Praise consists of a diverse group of youth, from ages 9 to 16. They have all exponentially matured culturally and spiritually, including their families, as a result of the production of this debut CD.  God has called Matthew Hawkins & T.R.U. Connection Praise to encourage people of all ages through gospel music.

Reverend Matthew Hawkins is the writer, composer, producer and mentor of the CD project. Reverend Matthew Hawkins is the Youth Pastor of Bible Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Hawkins.  Reverend Matthew Hawkins has used his life experiences to create lyrics and arrangements that are inspirational.

A portion of the CD proceeds will be allocated to assist the youth of T.R.U Connection Praise with their education.

In this course is offered every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.  We will spend time working through the “Ingredients for Discipleship” workbook which encompassing the 18 Articles of Faith.  The course is intended to inform new believers of what salvation is, and to re-inform, reinstate, and clarify what salvation is for the existing membership of Bible Fellowship.

We will learn what the Bible says regarding salvation, consecration, regeneration, and what it means to share your faith.

Each week’s memory verse, key verse and presentations have been developed to bring us all on one accord, so that we will be clear on basic biblical doctrines.

Bible Fellowship MBC Youth Ministry

T.R.U. Connection serves the ages of infancy to 30 years.  The ministry sponsors activities that support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of youth and young adults.

Some of the events and activities include:

  • T.R.U. Connection Tutoring weekly on Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday Night Bible Study and AWANA weekly at 7:00 p.m.
  • T.R.U Friday Worship Services (check our calendar for the schedule)
  • Thursday Night Bible Study with college age and young adults
  • Annual Block Party
  • Annual T.R.U. Revival
  • N-Him 4-Him Day Camp
  • Annual Parenting Conference
  • Outreach Bible Study to local high schools

Marriage and Family Ministry

Q. Should we combine our bank accounts?
A. The short answer is yes. But here is why.

The word of God says that the two shall become one flesh.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24 (KJV)

The word leave in the Hebrew text suggest A forfeit and relinquish of prior state as with mom and dad or in singleness.

Cleave imply in Hebrew, to stick, impinge and to fasten together.

Finally the word “One” suggest united alike together

This oneness is oneness in everything. You cannot be one when things are favorable to you and two when they challenge your lifestyle of choice or history. Because you said “I do”, there is no longer “mine” and “his/hers”. Your vows include a plight of troth which implied giving everything to each other. In Genesis, when Adam and Eve sinned, they received reprimand jointly because God viewed them as one even when Adam attempted to fault his wife in the transgression. They were both punished for the sin even though they had someone else to blame for it.

A joint account

1. promotes accountability and communication

2. helps the couple to identify the strengths and weaknesses of either person

Marriage in and of itself is a departure (leave personal decision making) in order to come together (cleave to joint decision making) and be live together as one.

Charge:

Combine your accounts today, and no matter how challenging or backwards

Trust God! He is the creator of this thing called marriage; therefore, He knows best.
